“A CIO with technological background can assist as well as validate what the IT team is doing in a better way,” says Henk ten Bos, CIO at Ageas, one of the largest life insurers in Hong Kong. Henk however adds that to be successful as an insurance CIO, the person must also possess a sound knowledge of insurance business and an ability to collaborate with ease with the fellow CXOs.
