7 November 2010: Halloween
It's already November and therefore Halloween time again. At Emily's school they organised a Halloween party for all the kids where everyone was requested to come to school in a special Halloween costume. The teachers also dressed up and everyone had a lot of fun. On Saturday there was a Halloween party at Bel-Air. They organised face-painting, there was a clown handing out funny balloons and there were a number of games for the children. See the photo's.... |

12 Februari 2011: Stanley Beach
Although it's only early February, last weekend the weather was quite nice again: about 21 degrees and a lot of sunshine. We therefore went to Stanley, a small village that is about a 25 minute drive from Bel-Air. Besides Stanley Market, a place that is visited by a lot of tourists, there is also a small beach at the other side of town. We brought the usual stuff (buckets, spades etc) for Emily and Sophie and with sufficient warm clothes they really enjoyed the time at the beach. See the photo's! |

Last week there was a special visitor at the Woodland School where Emily and Sophie go: Mister Maker from the popular CeeBeebies TV show. He was visiting Hong Kong for a number of performances and on Monday the school had arranged for a short visit. Emuly watches the show where Mister Maker does all sorts of arts and crafts every day. During the visit to the school he showed everyone how to make a spider! Although the visit was primarily for the 'older' children at school, he quickly went into the other classes as well.
